Every one of these was cut and set by the same shop. Nothing here was subcontracted out.
What we do
Four things, all of them stone.
Stone restoration and refinishing
Dull, etched, stained or chipped stone brought back without replacing it.
Most shops only want to sell you a new top. We will grind, hone, polish and seal the stone you already own.
Remnant pieces
Offcuts from bigger jobs, sold at a fraction of a full slab. Right size for a vanity, a bar or a laundry counter.
The pile changes every week. Come look at what is on the floor and take the piece you like.
Tile and backsplash
Backsplashes, floors, tub surrounds and shower walls, set by the same crew that cuts the stone.
Our state license is a C-54 tile classification. Tile is not a sideline here, it is what we are licensed for.
Choose an edge
The detail nobody explains to you.
Every countertop quote includes an edge profile, and almost nobody shows you what the words mean. Here they are in cross section.

Eased
A square edge with the sharpness taken off. The most common, the least expensive, and the one that disappears into a modern kitchen.
The edge is the part of a countertop you touch every day, and it is the decision most people are never actually shown. Pick one here, then come put your hand on it in the shop.
Restoration
Most shops want to sell you a new top.
We would rather fix the one you own. Etching, dullness, stains, chips and tired stone floors usually come back with grinding, honing and polishing, for a fraction of replacement and without pulling your kitchen apart. Drag the handle.
Note for Roman Marble: this control is real, the photographs are not. The left side is the same picture with the polish taken out of it, so you can see how the slider behaves. Give us two real photographs of one job, before and after, and this becomes the most persuasive thing on the site.

Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in during shop hours and look at the slabs and the remnants. Bring a photo of your kitchen if you have one.
What is a remnant, and would one work for me?
It is the piece left over after a big slab is cut for a kitchen. If your project is a bathroom vanity, a bar, a laundry counter or a hearth, a remnant is usually the cheaper and faster way to get real stone.
Can you fix my counter instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. Etching, dullness, light scratches and most stains come out with grinding, honing and polishing. Send a photo and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth doing.
Do you do the tile too?
Yes. Our state license is a tile classification, so the backsplash and the counter come from the same crew.
How do I know you are licensed?
California license 895044, active, bonded and carrying workers compensation. You can look it up on the state board site before you call anyone.
Do you take on commercial work?
Yes. Restaurants, hotels and public buildings on the Peninsula, including the Redwood City Library and the Marriott.
